I believe that if people play to their strengths every day, the engagement, fulfilment and performance that result makes work an exciting adventure.

Being a career coach, facilitator and an ex-recruiter, I have worked at the heart of the jobs market for the last 25 years. Fulfilment for me is not only seeing my clients gain the clarity of direction in which they will take their future, but witness them make the transition to a new role or career that brings meaning, motivation and pride to their working lives.

This fulfilment comes from helping job movers, from students to CEO's, to own and energise their careers, explore options and build the skills and confidence to move faster into the right role. Through onboarding and beyond I challenge leaders and teams to move through critical transition points, enabling higher levels of performance and engagement.

While qualified in Executive Coaching and Leadership Mentoring (ILM level 7), at heart I’m a pragmatist. Building strong and amicable rapport with my clients, my work focuses on real issues, real solutions and real results.

Starting as a graduate trainee at John Lewis I enjoyed careers in Retail (operations and HR), FMCG (Sales & Marketing) and Executive Search. I moved away from ‘headhunting’ and founded The Career Gym in 2009 to focus on helping others develop meaningful careers they are immensely proud of.

I believe that people, teams and organisations can be quite unusually brilliant.

I'm an experienced coach and facilitator. I support and challenge my clients to develop their careers, be engaged in what they do, take meaning from their work, build positive relationships and of course to achieve results.

I bring creativity, honesty, humour and energy to my work. I have a love of learning and hold a M.Sc. in People and Organisational Development and a Post Graduate Certificate in Coaching. I am an APECS Accredited Executive Coach.

I qualified as a pharmacist before spending the first fifteen years of my career in marketing and sales within the pharmaceutical industry. There, I developed my passion for working with individuals and teams to develop ways to improve their own performance and that of their brands. I have held roles at every level from representative to UK Executive Team member with major pharmaceutical companies. As well as driving commercial success, my work involved the leadership, management and coaching of many teams and people. In addition I have significant experience of designing and leading change programmes including process re-engineering and culture change. I've worked with clients to build successful teams and brands in the UK, Europe and Emerging Markets.

As well as my experience of working in the pharmaceutical marketplace my work has taken me into a variety of sectors including the development of elite coaches at the Rugby Football Union.

I believe that when people have clarity of vision, they will achieve great things.

I am hugely motivated by working with individuals to help them gain clarity of who they are in a work context: what motivates them, what their values, strengths and beliefs are and how that translates into a compelling work vision that they can plan towards.

I am a Career Coach and group facilitator working with people to help them with a wide range of career issues ranging from career development & planning; career transition and change through to working extensively with women who have had significant periods of time on career break and are now looking to return to the workplace.

As an Occupational Psychologist and Career Coach, I am hugely passionate about individuals first taking the time to understand who they are and take stock, before moving forward to action planning and to overcoming blocks.

My early background in Executive HR Recruitment & Interim management has equipped me with a good understanding of how individuals can pro-actively manage their careers and create opportunities through building strong relationships and managing their brands and reputations effectively.
